Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She is widely credited with initiating the contemporary scientific study of children's memories of eyewitnesses and children's victims as witnesses in lawful contexts. Professor Goodman published widely and has won several grants and has received many national and international awards. She has provided policy and research consultations to many agencies and departments around the globe. She is consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of numerous professional organizations, including that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is a founding member of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
