Holly has been wed three times. Holly's first marriage was to actress Danny Quinn. They got divorced in 1993. Jim Carrey met her in 1994 while attending his Ace Ventura Pet Detective auditions. Though she was not offered the part of Ace Ventura the Pet Detective, they formed bonds during the course of filming Dumb and Dumber. They married in 1996. After a short wedding, they split in 1997. She married Francis Greco who was born Canadian. When she was married Greco, in 2008 she was granted Canadian citizenship. The couple got divorced back in 2014. Holly and her kids reside with her family in Oakville, Ontario. Holly along with her family members which includes her father Grant and mother Mary, established The A Fund, at Hobart College and William Smith Colleges, in 1992 in honor of her sister Alexander. Holly recalled that Alexander was "a boy full of hopes and dreams". He was just 14 years of age when he died, but he traveled to Central America and Europe, and lived in New York City, and Los Angeles. His experiences have inspired him in the field of architecture as well as archaeology.

Alaina Suddeth was born on September 8, 1994, in Rossville Georgia with Kristy Suddeth, and J. J. Suddeth. Alaina started singing at the age of three years old. Her first public performance was with a kids choir and a place to go on vacation that included singing karaoke. She sang in places like restaurants, churches, social gatherings with family, and all within 30 miles of her house. Alaina was just 8 years old when she was crowned the winner of The Southern Stars Pageant's Talent Competition. That year she was crowned the contest for talent of children in Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival. The stage performance continued to be enjoyed until the 12th birthday of her, when she became an award-winning participant in a competition that enabled her to be on stage. The year 2010 was the first time she went to Orlando, Florida to participate in the American Model and Talent Competition. She was able to beat over 1500 contestants at the competition. Alaina sang as part of the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association's children's group. Alaina first went to Nashville in her teens. She was a performer at Tootsie's, a local bar that was located on Broadway. in 2009 Alaina became the very first contestant to win the WinniSTAR youth talent competition held at the Lake Winnepesaukah amusement park.In addition to singing, Alaina wrote several songs such as Leaving and the song Set Me Free. Her cousin Holly Witherow was diagnosed with brain cancer, which encouraged her to begin singing. Prior to Idol, Alaina worked at CiC's Pizza. She went to Lakeview-FortOglethorpe High School in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in which she played cheerleading.
